Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to make my holster?

All of our holsters are custom made-to-order. Current lead time is typically 2–3 weeks from the date your order is placed. You will receive a shipping notification with tracking once your order ships.

My gun or gun & light model isn't listed — can you still make a holster for it?

There is a good chance we can! We are constantly expanding our lineup of molds to support new firearms and weapon-mounted lights. If you don't see your specific model listed, please contact us directly before placing an order.

How does shipping work?

We ship all orders via USPS or UPS depending on size and destination. Shipping times vary by location and are in addition to the production lead time. You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.

What is your return and warranty policy?

Because every holster is custom made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, we stand behind our craftsmanship. Please visit our Return Policy and Shipping Policy pages for full details.

What materials do you use?

We use high-quality Kydex thermoplastic for all of our holsters. Kydex is known for its durability, retention, and resistance to moisture and chemicals — making it ideal for everyday carry.

Can I request custom colors or patterns?

Yes! We offer a variety of Kydex colors and patterns including carbon fiber and graphic prints. Select your preferred option when placing your order, or reach out to us if you have a specific request.

Is there a break-in period for a Kydex holster?

Unlike traditional leather holsters that require a week or two of stretching and softening, Kydex is a rigid, specialized polymer. It does not stretch, shrink, or "break in" over time. Your holster is ready for duty straight out of the box.

However, you might experience a brief personal adjustment period as you get used to the distinct, positive "click" of Kydex retention. If the draw feels a bit too tight or too loose initially, you can easily fine-tune it to your exact preference using the retention hardware.

How do I adjust the retention on my holster?

A: Most of our holsters feature adjustable passive retention so you can dial in the perfect draw resistance.

To Tighten Retention: Locate the adjustment screw(s) near the trigger guard or along the edge of the holster. Using a standard screwdriver, turn the screw clockwise in small, half-turn increments.

To Loosen Retention: Turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise in small increments.

Testing the Fit: Always clear your firearm completely and verify it is unloaded before testing the retention. Insert the cleared firearm into the holster—you want a secure hold that keeps the weapon stable during movement but allows for a smooth, unhindered draw.

Pro Tip: Once you find your perfect retention setting, we highly recommend applying a small drop of medium-strength thread locker (like blue Loctite) to the screws to lock them in place against the vibrations of daily carry.

Do you offer optic cuts? Will my red dot sight fit?

Yes, absolutely. We assume modern defensive handguns are going to run glass. Every holster we build comes standard with an open optic cut.

This clearance accommodates all major slide-mounted red dot optics on the market today—including the Trijicon RMR/SRO, Holosun 407/507/EPS series, Aimpoint Acro, and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro—whether you are using a factory optics-ready slide or a custom aftermarket slide cut.

Can you make a holster for a weapon-mounted light (WML)?

A: Yes, we specialize in light-bearing holsters. Because a weapon light changes the physical profile of your rail, light-bearing holsters require dedicated molds that are built specifically around the exact make and model of your light.

When ordering, make sure to select your specific light (e.g., Streamlight TLR-7, TLR-1 HL, Surefire X300 Ultra, or Modlite PL350) from the options menu.

⚠️ Important Note on Light-Bearing Retention: On a standard holster, the Kydex snaps securely around your pistol's trigger guard. When you add a weapon light, the light is wider than the trigger guard, meaning the holster must achieve its click and retention directly on the light body itself. Because of this, a light-bearing holster will not safely hold your firearm if the light is removed. If you plan to carry sometimes with a light and sometimes without, you will need two separate holsters.

What if I have an aftermarket compensator or a threaded barrel?

Be sure to select this "modification" option when ordering. This means that extended threaded barrels or slim, slide-profile compensators (like the Radian RAMJET) will naturally pass right through the bottom of the holster without issue.

If you run a large, wide block compensator that changes the overall profile of your slide, reach out to us first so we can ensure the mold channel is wide enough to let it draw cleanly.

Can I add a light or an optic to my gun later and still use the same holster?

Adding an Optic: Yes. Because our holsters come standard with an optic cut, you can buy the holster now and add a red dot to your slide later without needing a new shell.

Adding a Light: No. Because Kydex must be precision-molded to the exact physical dimensions of the light to create secure retention, you cannot insert a light-equipped gun into a non-light holster, nor can you safely use a light-bearing holster without the light attached.
